After the Christmas party we planned in December, we were left with the thought of “What next?” We had had a great time with those who came, and wanted to build on that and continue getting to know these people and hopefully continuing to share spiritually.
Well, here’s a new opportunity! Our local church is organizing a community Easter egg hunt, to be held on Monday April 1. (The Monday after Easter is a holiday here.)
People from the church have been busy for weeks decorating blown-out eggs to hide, and there was a workshop to make Easter-shaped chocolates yesterday, with another to follow next week. This event should be lots of fun for kids. There will also be tea and coffee and a place for the adults to gather and talk.
All the kids who came to our Christmas party have been invited and at least a couple have said they would come! Please pray for a good turnout, good weather, and relationships built. Pray for the visibility of our church, as this event is being publicized and will be held in a public park. Pray particularly for the unchurched families who hear about it…that they would make the effort to come, and that this might be a significant step in their spiritual journey!
